Brits have been told to batten down the hatches following an urgent Met Office yellow weather warning.<\/p>\n
The news comes after a series of storms battered and British Isles in recent weeks, with Ciar\u00e1n, Debi and Babet all causing chaos. Now it seems that across both Friday (November 17) and Saturday (November 18), Brits in parts of the country are in for more of the wet and windy stuff with \u201ccoastal gales\u201d expected.<\/p>\n
The affected parts of the country are said by the national weather forecaster to be southwest and south Wales. The yellow warnings cover all of Cornwall and Devon, reaching into Dorset in England.<\/p>\n

The warnings have been attached with a note about what to expect. The Met Office site says: \u201cAnother spell of heavy rain is likely in this area Friday night and Saturday morning.\u201d<\/p>\n

People in the areas impacted should expect: \u201cSpray and flooding could lead to difficult driving conditions and some road closures. Delays or cancellations to train and bus services are possible. Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely\u201d.<\/p>\n
In its written forecast for the southwest for the coming days, the Met Office noted that for Friday: \u201cA bright and largely dry start for many. Sunshine becoming increasingly hazy into the afternoon with rain and strengthening winds moving into the far southwest by late afternoon. Maximum temperature 13 \u00b0C.\u201d<\/p>\n

By Saturday, however, things are expected to worsen, with the forecast reading: \u201cTurning unsettled through Saturday outbreaks of rain through the morning. Sunny spells on Sunday and Monday with blustery showers or longer spells of rain. Windy throughout with coastal gales.<\/p>\n

The associated weather system should clear to the east during Saturday afternoon, with more showery conditions following. 10 to 15mm is expected widely in the warning area, with a few places near southern coasts and over high ground seeing 20 to 30mm, with a chance that the southern slopes of Dartmoor and the hills of southwest Wales could see 40 to 50mm."<\/p>\n
