New weather maps show a brutal freeze is coming at the end of this week, with temperatures plunging to -13C.<\/p>\n
Sunday will see parts of Britain drop into the minus temperatures, bringing fog and frost<\/p>\n
Maps show the freeze moving in on Sunday (November 19), sticking around until Monday evening.<\/p>\n
The Met Office\u2019s long-range forecast predicts that the end of the week will be \u201crather cold\u201d with overnight frost and fog. The forecaster also said next week could be colder in northern areas.<\/p>\n
But don\u2019t expect snow. Grahame Madge, a Met Office spokesman, told the Express: “There is no strong signal for snow within the forecast for the rest of autumn or into early December.<\/p>\n
READ MORE <\/strong> Storm Debi sparks tornado alert as 100mph danger to life winds hit[LATEST] <\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n “There is always a chance of wintry conditions on the tops of the Scottish mountains but away from these more extreme conditions there is little prospect of snow at lower elevations.\u201d<\/p>\n This freeze will come after Storm Debi batters the UK, with \u2018danger to life\u2019 warnings in place across the country due to severe winds and dangerous large waves.<\/p>\n The country saw similar frosts over Remembrance Day weekend in preparation for the storm, with overnight temperatures plunging to -5C.<\/p>\n The latest weather maps echo a forecast from James Madden, a forecaster for Exacta Weather, who warned that “it is now increasingly likely that we will see at least 1-2 notable wintry blasts from late November and into the first half of December”.<\/p>\n DON’T MISS <\/strong> <\/p>\n
