Hroza Village in Ukraine’s Kharkiv region witnessed a heart-wrenching missile attack during a gathering, claiming 51 lives, among them a six-year-old child.<\/p>\n
The attack occurred during a wake at a local cafe, where residents from every household in the village had assembled.<\/p>\n
The missile struck as mourners gathered for the funeral service of a local Ukrainian soldier, prompting an immediate response from Ukraine’s Interior Minister, Ihor Klymenko.<\/p>\n
He confirmed the presence of individuals from all families in the village during the gathering.<\/p>\n
The soldier’s widow, son, and daughter-in-law were among the victims of the attack.<\/p>\n

More info<\/p>\n There are growing fears that sophisticated weaponry, including Iskander ballistic missiles, might have been used in these attacks, raising concerns about the conflict’s evolving nature.<\/p>\n Kharkiv regional head Oleh Syniehubov said the attack was one of the region’s “bloodiest crimes”.<\/p>\n He said: “One fifth of this village has died in a single terrorist attack.”<\/p>\n Since the start of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine in February last year, the Kupyansk district has been a prominent battleground between the Russian and Ukrainian armies. Initially serving as a crucial supply hub for Russian forces, Kyiv managed to reclaim control in September 2022 after prolonged months of intense fighting.<\/p>\n
