    Wilko stores and staff are back at risk after the proposed rescue deal reportedly collapsed.<\/p>\n

    Talks between Doug Putman and administrators PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) over a "slimmed-down deal" to save around 100 Wilko sites has ended.<\/p>\n

    For weeks, the retail bosses have been in talks with the HMV owner but according to reports the stores and its staff are back at risk.<\/p>\n

    Wilko\u2019s administrators are now expected to pursue a deal to sell roughly 100 stores to chain retailer Poundland, reports Sky News.<\/p>\n

    There have also been reports The Range may purchase the Wilko brand.<\/p>\n

    <\/p>\n

    In the meantime, 24 shops will close on September 12, while another 28 will be shuttered just two days later. <\/p>\n

    The company has 400 branches in total, with B&M agreeing to spend \u00a313million on buying just 51 sites.<\/p>\n

    However, the company has not confirmed the fate of any of the 1,332 staff members employed by the company.<\/p>\n
