A Donald Trump supporter has hit out after a nasty note was put in her grandson's McDonald's Happy Meal bag.
She called the act 'immature and childish' and said she doesn't 'care who you support and wouldn't judge' in either way.
Carrie Brewster stopped at the fast food chain in Austinburg, Ohio, after attending a car parade in support of Trump on Sunday.
When she went to get the food out of the takeaway bag, she found an aggressive note that said "f**k Trump" scribbled across a napkin, followed by a smiley face.
Unimpressed, she took to Facebook to tell her friends and family to avoid the particular restaurant.
Hundreds of people responded to her post, both to criticise and support her political views, which saw her attach six "patriarchal" glads to her car for the Tump rally.
"I was a paying customer and it was in my grandson's bag. He is four. A line was crossed!" Ms Brewster wrote in response to one critic.
"I don't care who you support and wouldn't judge you either way."
She also said the store manager informed her disciplinary action was being taken against the McDonald's worker responsible for the note, Yahoo! News reports.
She wrote in a comment: "I guess it's probably not the first time. Aside from that, I have never done something so immature and childish.
"I went there to get my grandson food and didn't care to ask who they supported before I spent my money there… They pushed this hate into my car with my four-year-old grandson."
The restaurant owner agreed that the note was unacceptable and claimed it did not reflect the business' values.
“This behaviour is not reflective of our organisation and goes against our values and standards,” owner and operator Mary Jo Smith said, according to news site Star Beacon.
“We want all customers to feel welcome in our restaurants and we expect employees to treat everyone with dignity and respect.”
The news site claims the family did not eat the food in the protest of the inflammatory note.
In response to another comment, Ms Brewster said among her flags was a prisoner of war flag, a Trump flag, a military flag and one that said “Blue Lives Matter”.
