A call from Taylor Elementary School in Norfolk, Virginia was placed to the police at around 3pm local time. The Norfolk Fire Marshall arrested the suspect, who is now detained until their scheduled court appearance in Wednesday. No further information on the suspect or the threat has been made available at this time. It comes as Virginia, a crucial swing state for this year election, went to Mr Biden.

More violence in Virginia came as the bomb threat was issued in Norfolk, with a separate incident being seen at a Ghent polling station.

A man was arrested for causing a disturbance, but police refused to specify what the issue was.

Both reports came from local news outlet WAVY, based in Virginia.

It comes as Texas has reported a live bomb threat, with a “suspicious package left at the T Mobile store.”
