Showers of snow are expected over higher ground in Scotland on Wednesday and will make its way further south on Thursday, reaching as far as Devon.

According to a Netweather broadcaster, temperatures could reach -9 in parts of Scotland on Thursday morning.

The Met Office has said that snow showers may fall across Northern parts of Scotland on Wednesday. 

It also says that coastal regions will be affected by strong winds, particularly northeast England.
