A "stoned" dad whistled with joy as he dangled his baby upside down by its ankles before being arrested in a shocking viral video.
The incident was filmed near the city of Sochi in the western Russian region of Krasnodar Krai and the footage, which Daily Star Online has chosen not to show, was shared on his Instagram account.
It's since gone viral with more than three million views.
The 35-year-old dad, named in reports as Igor Kravtasov, was accompanied by his 27-year-old wife and their young baby who was born in June.
The couple later reportedly tested positive for cannabis use after they were both taken into custody.
In the viral clip, the young dad can be seen sitting in a camping chair in what seems to be a forest.
He is whistling happily while dangling his baby aloft by its ankle while swinging the tot around.
According to the local police, Kravtasov told them: "Yes, I admit my behaviour was a little reckless, but look at little monkeys.
"As we are their descendants, I think we should keep our kids active from infancy.
"They should be flexible and this can make their bones stronger and healthier."
The police reportedly found a plant substance believed to be cannabis as well as devices associated with its use in the family home.
The parents have been detained for 10 days for disobeying the police and using force while refusing to go into the police station, according to Kubnews.
Local authorities said the two-month-old baby is feeling well and is currently being cared for in a city hospital while the investigation into the parents' conduct continues.
It's the latest troubling incident in which a parent's questionable behaviour has gone viral.
Last month a video of a US man spanking his wailing young son in public sparked heated debate online, with some accusing the man of child abuse.
Others sprang to his defence, saying it was an appropriate way to discipline the child.
