Son of Lord Lucan murder victim bypassing cops to ‘bring in mystery man’

The son of the nanny that is believed to be murdered by Lord Lucan said he has new information on the death of his mother.

Neil Berriman said he plans to sidestep the Metropolitan Police with the new information he's complied and will go directly to the Australian authorities which is where he believes the man who killed his mother Sandra Rivett is currently residing.

The dossier includes image analysis by Professor Hassan Ugail, and due allegations of a serious crime in the dossier, it will be given to the relevant authorities in Australia.

Mr Berriman, 55, said: “There is no point dealing with Scotland Yard any more. I am going straight to the Australians and they can deal with it directly and put appropriate pressure on the relevant police forces.

"These are scientific facts now – not anyone’s opinion.”

Professor Ugail coupled with a US firm compared photos of Lucan with a mystery English pensioner that is currently living in the Brisbane area with both parties confirming they were “a match”.

Mr Ugail is a Professor of Visual Computing at the University of Bradford and he said: “I stand by the science behind my algorithm.

"It’s never been wrong before.”

Mr Berriman's frustration with Scotland Yard comes from the Met Police already claiming that Aussie police had ruled the mystery OAP from their inquiries.

Mr Berriman has been unwavering in his belief that the mystery man is Lord Lucan.

Lucan was a important member of the establishment when he fled his home and disappeared after being suspected of Sandra Rivett's murder in November 1974.

Despite some friends claiming that he committed suicide by throwing himself from a cross-channel ferry and being declared dead in 1999, Lucan's body has never been recovered.
