The Royal Family is "banding together" after Kate Middleton and King Charles were named as the culprits in a "race row" by a Dutch translation of an explosive book, a source has claimed.
Omid Scobie's book Endgame, which details the growing divide betweenPrince Harry, Meghan Markle, and the rest of the Royal family, was released this week, but has hit the headlines for one reason only, after naming the pair by "mistake".
Much of the controversy stems from the couple's 2021 interview with Oprah Winfrey, where they claimed a senior Royal had made "racist" comments about their-then unborn son Archie's skin colour. The book this week then revealed a second Royal had allegedly made such remarks.

However, shockingly, the Dutch version of the book named both royals as King Charles and Kate Middleton, leading to its withdrawal hours after release.
Scobie denied any responsibility for publishing the names, blaming the Dutch publisher and stating: "I never submitted a book that had those names in it." Yet, the translators for the Dutch edition claimed the names of Charles and Kate were there in "black and white".
Saskia Peeters, the translator of the controversial book, defended herself from her home in Arnhem. She said: "As a translator, I translate what is in front of me. The names of the royals were there in black and white. I did not add them. I just did what I was paid to do and that was (to) translate the book from English into Dutch."

Piers Morgan names two royals accused of racism as Firm 'set to take legal action'
As a result, The Firm is now dealing with the massive fallout. A source told The Mirror that the Palace has "banded together in their utter condemnation" of claims any member of the monarchy would use racist language.
They also claimed the naming of Charles and Kate escalated the rift between the Sussexes and the Royal family "into the stratosphere".
They said: "There is absolute an unequivocal denial that anything said by the two persons named publicly, both in the book and on television, was said or could be considered to be said in a racist manner. How much more should they take?"
