‘Rotten’ food ‘unfit for human consumption’ found at cheap brothel

A Swiss brothel has got itself in hot water after its food was found to be "unfit for human consumption".

During an embarrassing inspection of the brothel in the canton of Solothurn, Switzerland, some 53 violations of food laws were reported, including rotten onions and expired butter being used.

The brothel, that offers soft drinks, wellness treatments and food for a £45 entry fee, was fined around the equivalent of £1,450, a light sentence considering the myriad of violations.

And the poor form didn't stop with the food, as 20 Minutes reported that spaces used for its main money making scheme were found to be unclean.

Throughout the building inspectors found rotten onions, "unfit for human consumption" chili peppers, expired butter, dirty surfaces, building rubble in the beverage warehouse and unrefrigerated food at the buffet including potato salad, meat and salmon.

The news arose after a penalty order from the Solothurn public prosecutor's office.

It comes after news that 'polite and well endowed' Brits are flocking to a 'one-stop shop' city in Germany with the world's largest brothel.

'Pascha', believed to be the biggest brothel in the world, is a 9,000sqm, 12-storey building located in Cologne that can welcome up to 1,000 customers a day.

One bloke from Manchester, who wanted to remain anonymous, told The Sun: “It’s great here. Everything I need in one-stop shop. Booze, girls and clubbing.”

He was speaking specifically about Pascha, but his comments are true of the city that boasts several sex destinations that also have thumping music to keep the party going.

The sex trade is worth around 14.5billion euros in annual revenue in Germany, where 33,000 registered sex workers ply their trade in 3,000 brothels. It is believed there are as many as 300,000 sex workers when the unregistered are accounted for.
