The lead singer of band Bonde do Forro showed gunshots on the windscreen, claiming that they were shot at in order to make them stop at around 6am – they did not stop, nor was any update given as to how the chaotic situation ended.
According to UAI, she said: “My God, people!
“We just had a release (sic) here: attempted robbery on the road, we were shot, but thank God nothing happened, just some glass flew here in Danilo's face.”
Other than the glass hitting a band member, she confirmed that there were no injuries to anyone else.
The band did perform the next night in the Belo Horizonte region.

According to local media, the Federal Highway Police in Minas Gerais has not launched an official investigation yet, and Juliana has not clarified on whether or not she has reported the incident to the police.

In 2021, there was just 11.4 homicides per 100,000 members of the local population, ranking it fourth from last across the entire country of Brazil.
