Putin issues chilling warning over ‘prolonging agony’ for Ukraine

Vladimir Putin has issued a chilling warning to Ukraine after Kyiv confirmed the use of advanced US-supplied tactical missiles for the first time.

The Russian leader had dismissed the importance of the Army Tactical Missile System, known as ATACMS, on the battlefield.

Speaking to the media in Beijing, Putin insisted that the ATACMS would not provide Ukraine the breakthrough Kyiv is desperately seeking on the frontlines.

He said: “For Ukraine, in this sense, there’s nothing good … it only prolongs the agony.”

Russia has condemned the US for supplying the ATACMS system with the Russian ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov branding the move “a grave mistake”.
