An innocent man has said a drunk mum-of-two ruined his life after she kicked him in the testicles, leaving him in severe pain.
Lisa Hampson booted the victim in the groin after she slapped a doorman at Mr Whites in Birkenhead, Merseyside, where she was already barred.
The victim, who has not been named, had been trying to calm Hampson down but the 46-year-old mum-of-two turned around and kicked the man in the groin, Liverpool Echo reports.
Hampson was jailed for 12 months on Tuesday September 15.
The victim told Liverpool Crown Court the injury has had a "devastating" effect on the man's physical and mental wellbeing after he suffered a scrotal haemotoma.
Chuba Nwokedi, prosecuting, said the victim saw Hampson "screaming and being aggressive" with door staff.
Mr Nwokedi: "He intervened in an attempt to calm her down. He was kicked in the groin by the defendant. The defendant then left the scene.
"Initially the victim thought everything was fine, but as the night went on, he started to suffer severe pain."
The victim was then taken to hospital by ambulance and underwent surgery, the first of multiple medical interventions.
Mr Nwokedi said: "This incident has had a devastating effect on his life."
"He suffered a scrotal haematoma. In layman's terms, that's large amounts of blood in the scrotum. He's had numerous procedures since the initial incident in an attempt to treat it.
"He's had surgical exploration, usually done by incision your honour. He's also had to have procedures to have the blood clots removed from his scrotum."
The man was initially left on statutory sick pay, lost out financially and had to borrow money, leaving him in debt.
Five months after the incident, in February, he told police he was still yet to make a full recovery.
Hampson wasn't arrested over the attack until November 6, when she was in police custody over a separate matter.
Jailing her, Judge Louise Brandon said: "You should have left the pub when you were asked to and your hotheaded and impulsive acts of violence have brought this upon yourself."
