Multiple people stabbed near high school as at least three hurt

Three people have been injured in a suspected multiple stab attack near a secondary school in Stockport.

Police flocked to the scene in The Fairway, Offerton, on Tuesday afternoon following reports of a knife attack.

Pictures from the scene showed several police cars parked outside Castle Hill High School, the Manchester Evening News reports.

Detectives said three victims have been rushed to hospital but their condition is not known.

Police have not revealed any details about the gender or ages of the knife attack victims.

And the extent of their injuries is also unknown at this stage.

Emergency services scrambled to reports of a stabbing near the Fairway in Offerton.

Detectives were seen at the scene until around 7pm.

A spokesman for the force said that no arrests have been made and the condition of the victims is yet to be reported.

In a statement, a Greater Manchester Police spokesman said: "Police were called to reports of a stabbing off The Fairway in Offerton, Stockport on Tuesday, September 1.

"Emergency services attended and three people have been taken to hospital with injuries.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries remain ongoing."
