Moment TikTok star lies to cop over murder plot to kill mum’s blackmailing lover

The shocking moment a TikTok influencer convicted of murder decided to lie to the police hours after she a man in horrific fatal car crash has been revealed.

Mahek Bukhari, 24, and her mum Ansreen Bukhari, 46, were both convicted at Leicester Crown Court earlier this week, after they ran Saqib Hussain, 21, off the road in a February 2022 car chase.

The court heard the two women came up with a plan to "silence" Hussain after he threatened to leak sex tapes of Ansreen, using cash to lure him in before launching an "ambush".

Hussain, the lover of Ansreen, was travelling at 100mph when his Skoda crashed, "split in two" and burst into flames, killing him and his friend Mohammed Hashim Ijazuddin, 21.

Despite their denials, jurors found both Mahek and Ansreen guilty on two counts of murder after deliberating for more than 28 hours.

And now the moment that Mahek lied to the police has been made public.

CCTV footage from inside a police station after her arrest shows her claiming that she had just been a witness to the crash, and had nothing to do with it.

She said, in a four-minute-long rambling video: “This silver car has come zooming down . . . and cut into the middle, I braked and said to my mum 'what is this car trying to do?'.

“I kept my distance.

“This car was not threatening me, it was agitating this blue car (in front).

“All I've seen is they've hit and a swerve to the other side of the dual carriage way.

“I didn't see a bang, no tree, I didn't see anything.

“I was just in shock.”

She also claimed that it was another car that hit the car belonging to Saqid Hussain, and that she didn't see it.

However, she was found guilty and is now awaiting sentencing.
