Meghan ‘saving Coronation weekend secrets for new Netflix show’, muses expert

Meghan Markle could be using her coronation snub and son Archie’s birthday as content for her next Netflix documentary, an expert has claimed.

The birthdays of royal children are often marked with a photograph shared with the world to celebrate the milestone.

Most royal birthdays, however, do not clash with the long-awaited coronation of a new king.

May 6 was one such clash, with King Charles formally taking to the throne on the same day as the fourth birthday of Meghan and Prince Harry ’s oldest, Archie.

Prince Harry made the trip across the pond to attend his father’s coronation but hightailed it back in a bid to catch his boy’s birthday back in the US that evening.

Meghan, meanwhile, stayed behind with Archie’s birthday said to have played a part in the decision-making.

So little has been made of Archie’s birthday, however, one royal expert has speculated that it could be with the intention of dropping the information at a later date.

Speaking to the Daily Star, royal expert for the To Di For podcast, Kinsey Schofield said: “There is pending content to be developed for Netflix. Perhaps they are saving coronation weekend secrets for season two of their reality show.”

Kinsey thinks the decision for Meghan to stay behind could have been part of a wider ploy about public perception on the part of the Duchess of Sussex.

Kinsey continued: “I suspect that Meghan wants the general public to question whether she really stayed behind to celebrate Archie's birthday or whether she stayed behind to 'protect her peace' which has painstakingly been reported in the States.”

The Daily Star has approached representatives of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex for comment.
