Meghan Markle set herself life changing New Year's resolutions the year she met Prince Harry, according to her now defunct lifestyle blog The Tig.
The Duchess of Sussex has previously said she uses the Christmas and New Year holiday period as a chance to reflect on the last 12 months and set future goals.
Many people around the world do this but few make it past January and the rest of the year goes astray.
In 2016, the year Meghan met Harry, she decided to approach goal-setting differently and threw out her aim to stop biting her nails and swearing.
On her blog, she wrote: “The swearing comes in lulls triggered by being overworked or feeling mighty cheeky after a couple drinks.
"And when it comes to the biting of the nails—well, it still happens with a turbulent flight or a stressful day. It's unladylike. But then again, so is the swearing. Dammit."
Meghan instead said she wanted to approach the year “playfully” and her only goal was to “laugh and enjoy” her life while keeping her “standards high.”
She also said she wanted to “leave room for magic” and to be easier on herself if she breaks plans that she made.
The Duchess of Sussex wrote: "For this new year, the only thing I aim to do is to approach life playfully.
"To laugh and enjoy, to keep my standards high but my level of self-acceptance higher.
"My New Year's resolution is to leave room for magic. To make my plans, and be okay if they sometimes break.
"To set my goals, but to be open to change. To let the magic know that there is an open door policy with me in 2016 and that it is always welcome to join the party.
"I invite you to do the same. Have a beautiful, blissful, and incredibly magical 2016. So grateful to be with you on the ride."
Just six months later Meghan Markle met Prince Harry.
