Man ‘slashed with blade’ as yob shows off bloody hand in sickening brawl

Disturbing footage appears to show the moment a thug slashes a rival with a blade in a street brawl in central Glasgow on bank holiday Monday.

In the clip, horrified shoppers look on as the scrap kicks off in Argyle Street then spills onto neighbouring Union Street in broad daylight, Daily Record reports.

Punches are thrown and bottles smashed as thugs fight a running battle.

The mobile phone footage starts with two louts grappling in the middle of the road as a glass bottle shatters on the ground, spraying glass in all directions.

One of the men trailing the group yells: "Batter his face in."

More punches are thrown and broken bottles brandished as chaos ensues.

A man in a red top, black shorts and face mask then smashes a bottle on railings.

Two men aim punches at his head before the man in the red top swings his right arm at one of them.

He is then seen fleeing between traffic on a busy afternoon in the city centre.

The man he was fighting with shows his arm to the camera with what looks like blood on his hand.

One of the men following the group says: "He slashed you."

No details were available on the extent of injuries while the cause of the fight remains a mystery.

The footage ends with one of the victim's pals turning around and asking: "Where’s my bird?"

Daily Star Online has approached Police Scotland for comment.
