Glam influencer kicked out of Dubai shopping mall because she was ‘too sexy’

A glamorous influencer claims she was been kicked out of a posh Dubai shopping centre for "looking too sexy".

Prior to her embarrassing removal, German reality TV star Emmy Russ, 22, praised the "great country, so much luxury, everything in gold, it is as if made for me".

However, the feeling was hardly mutual as security objected to Russ' revealing shopping outfit and booted her from the mall.

Emmy from Hamburg, Germany has been shared snaps of her lavish Dubai trip with her 186,000 Instagram followers between August 11 and last Tuesday.

The young woman who gained fame through various reality TV shows, such as Germany's celebrity version of Big Brother, reported she was shocked by the unpleasant experience.

Emmy, who is also an amateur actress and a model, was told by security guards that her fashion sense was too revealing for their standards.

Newspaper Bild reported that Emmy was wearing a cropped glitter top and a mini skirt at the large shopping centre which she justified by the sweltering hot 41C weather forecast.

However, once she entered the mall, she was approached by security employees who refused to let her continue her shopping.

"Suddenly a security employee came up completely out of breath and said I was too sexy, and I couldn't walk around like that," Emmy explained.

She complained over Instagram saying: "They threatened me with the police. I was thrown outside and I received a written warning."

The written warning the influencer received was a courtesy policy black card by the Dubai Mall indicating: "Please wear respectful clothing."

Russ shockingly added: "Then I quickly bought a long T-shirt outside and put it on. According to my standards, I didn't think my outfit was too sexy. When I entered the country, a policeman even flirted with me at the airport."

German media (TAG24) reported that this was not the first time that Russ was publicly criticised for her clothing, as she once even had to face the police after posing for a photo in a miniskirt while leaning on a patrol vehicle.

She then received a criminal complaint for leaving a dent on the car bonnet that caused several hundred euros in damage, although the charge was later dropped.
