Christmas tragedy as 3 children left orphaned after parents die in horror crash
Three children have tragically been left orphaned just days before Christmas after their devoted parents were killed in a horror crash.
Farmers, John Stanton, 40, and Trish O'Brien, 38 were on their way home when their vehicle crashed into a tree in Ladysmith, near Wagga Wagga in New South Wales. Their children Teya, 17, Jack, 14, and Caleb, nine, have now been taken in by heartbroken relatives.
A GoFundMe page has since been set up by friend, Mel Cummins to raise money to support the family already doubling its $15,000 (ยฃ11,800) goal in a matter of days. It says:"John and Trish were always together, partners in crime we could say, they were a massive part of the community and involved in many local fundraisers…The community have been so supportive and we know so many want to know what they can do to help, we are raising funds to help with the funeral arrangements for Trish and John and to help lesson the burden on the children."

It adds: "Unfortunately Trish and John had been so busy with their buisness and the harvest season they had not yet got their Christmas shopping done so this will also be used to give the children a Christmas and support them with the day to day…"
Mel told Seven News: "Both sides of the family are just trying to process the situation and what's happening and where we go from here."
One tribute to the couple read: "My heart is filled with grief and sadness knowing the children have lost a wonderful mother and a dedicated father."
