A man was pictured eating an expensive meal with an usual companion: a cardboard cutout of Meghan Markle.

The unidentified diner was spotted by businesswoman Megan Murphy, who tweeted the image late last night to her 20k followers.

Megan's caption read: "Out to dinner in Brixton and a dude is out to dinner with a paper cutout of Meghan Markle. Nature is healing. Or not."

The unusual date took place at Kricket, a posh small-plates Indian restaurant in Brixton, south London.

One user commented on the restaurant's edge austere design: "Why are you having dinner in an air raid shelter".

Meanwhile most couldn't help but speculate it might've been self-styled Meghan nemesis Piers Morgan.

Poster Megan added: "For the Piers Morgan comments, let's be clear the incongruity would be Piers in Brixton, not Piers with a paper cutout of Meghan Markle.

Kricket is a haunt for yuppie Londoners with stuffed wallets.

Numerous journalists and ex-colleagues of Megan replied it was an unsurprising sight at such a restaurant.

A small rabbit and pork kebab plate will set you back £12, while a cocktail prices at £9.

It appears exactly the type of place Meghan Markle might dine.

Less so Piers Morgan, who admittedly looks nothing like the man pictured.

Though we still don't know who the man is, what we do know is that the pair were cut out for each other.
