BBC Weather forecaster Ben Rich noted that wet weather is expected across Europe over the next few days. He noted that a wet weather front will bring many showers to parts of west Europe, most notably the UK and Ireland. Elsewhere in southeastern Europe, there will be outbreaks of rain but temperatures will remain high.

Mr Rich said: “It is certainly starting to feel like autumn in the northwest of Europe.

“This is because we have some cool air moving in from the north west.

“You can see the speckled cloud on the satellite picture, that shows that we have got lots and lots of showers racing in.

“Behind another band of cloud there is a frontal system pushing eastwards for Tuesday.

“That weather front will be affecting parts of Scandinavia and it will push into eastern Germany, parts of Poland and the Czech Republic.

“This will bring some fairly heavy outbreaks of rain and it will turn wet again across the UK and Ireland.”

The BBC Weather forecaster noted that parts of south eastern Europe will also see some heavy rain over the coming days.

He also noted the falling temperatures as autumn temperatures set in.

Mr Rich continued: “For Turkey and Cyprus it stays fine with some sunshine.

“Temperatures will be in the low 30s but we have got some wet weather to come as well.

“On the other side of Europe, parts of Portugal and Spain will stay dry.

“This won’t be the case for the UK and the Republic of Ireland as there is more rain on the way.
