Mario Chalmers, Chris Andersen Not Getting Interest On Trade Market

The Heat have reportedly looking for some trade partners as they look to deal guard Mario Chalmers as well as Chris Andersen. This has been going on for over a month now, and the Heat have reportedly not found any teams interested in either player.

The Heat are reportedly going to wait until training camp to see how guards Tyler Johnson and Josh Richardson perform before deciding on what to do with Chalmers. Rio spoke out about the trade rumors recently and how they’re affecting him.

“I mean it’s kind of tough just hearing all the rumors and stuff,” Chalmers said. “But you know, that’s what it was, was just rumors. I’ve just got to keep focusing on my game and keep my mind straight and keep fighting through it.”

Andersen has also not received much trade interest, but he’s more likely to stay with the Heat as an insurance backup for the oft-injured Hassan Whiteside, Amar’e Stoudemire, and Josh McRoberts. Birdman, however, has not been affected by the trade rumors and will likely be ready to play no matter where he ends up at the start of the season.

“It’s a business, man,” Andersen said. “It doesn’t bother me one bit.”

Right now, there’s nothing else on these two players possibly ending up in different scenarios, but we’ll keep you updated.
